Every year we turn away over 30 families who have applied for a scholarship to The New E3 School. These families desperately want to give their child the gift of a high-quality early education, but they cannot afford it.
The achievement and readiness gaps begin as early as six months of age. The earlier children have access to high-quality early education, the better off they will be. If they don’t have access to high-quality early learning at home or in a program, their chances of falling behind their peers grow. As children go through our education system, the achievement and readiness gaps widen without early intervention.
Many of our scholarship applicants are single parents, going to school or working two or more jobs. All too often, what we hear them say is, “I just want my child to have the opportunity for an education that I never had.” They recognize that begins with early education.
High-quality early education levels the playing field. It gives children the opportunity to develop skills that will help them academically, socially and later down the road in the workforce.
Join the $1k Club and your gift collectively with other donors, will provide a young child the opportunity for a high-quality early education.
