In case you missed it, we wanted to update you on two exciting ways E3 was highlighted last week:
Last week, our chairman, Gary McCollum, was inducted into the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame which recognizes individuals in the community who have shown excellence in business, leadership, courageous thinking, and community involvement. Proceeds from the benefit go to Junior Achievement which helps prepare students K-12 for workforce readiness and business skills.
In his remarks, Gary spoke on how critical early education is in getting the desired workforce that our businesses need.
Also, there was an editorial in The Virginian-Pilot highlighting the success that the regional Smart Beginnings South Hampton Roads and the statewide Elevate Early Education have had on our community in equipping children to be better prepared for their academic and professional lives. You can check out the full article here.
Thank you, Gary, for your continued work on improving early childhood education and congratulations on your well-deserved award!
